About this book:

Driven-to-the-Hilt-press-release-book-only

Already a social outcast because of his father’s alleged betrayal, young Joshua finds himself trapped outside the mining colony on the planet of Cypress Grove. He faces a murky rainforest infested with a creature so deadly, it has kept all humans confined inside their only settlement for decades. If he can manage to escape these alien wilds, he must then brave the even darker dangers of the colony’s underworld.

It is a tale of survival, a premature coming of age in an environment demanding resiliency, inventiveness, and self-reliance. But when teetering on the sharp edge of stark choices, decisions of life or death, can Joshua afford to consider questions of right and wrong, or does expediency rule the day?

Lara Storm once tried her hand at authoring works of fiction, but discovered the hard way that God had something else—something better for her—in mind. Once a student of geology, in which she found herself studying rocks, she now finds the greatest joy in studying The Rock, The Word—Jesus Christ. Praying God's word is a close second—or maybe a second first. Besides spending time with her family and God, she enjoys a variety of creative arts—especially drawing, painting, and dabbling in photo manipulation. She finds great fulfillment in being a listening ear or a voice of encouragement for others when God grants her those divine opportunities. Her greatest desire for herself and for others is that we would be all God designed us to be when He knitted us together in our mothers' wombs.

    1. Thanks! A compliment from you on graphics means a lot. Your blog tour graphics are always beautiful. (Sorry it took me so long to reply. The way the new gmail is setup, it’s easier to forget to check those other folders.)

  1. Wow… what a great survey of the themes, emotions and issues that emanate from this book! Your insights on all the different dimensions of Joshua’s struggle make me want to go back and read the first book again; I think I was too much focused on just the action!
